Hello, I just finished looking through your book I purchased from Amazon.com. First of all I have to say that I have a lot of books, more books than one person should have, but the reason I do, it because I could not find a book that was right for me, had the items I was interested in, and presented them in a clear, picturesque, easy to follow format. I am Japanese, and found the 2 of you to be very in tune to Japanese culture. It is unique in itself to Asia, as I suppose each asian county is, in some ways. I am 3rd generation here in the US, but my family has kept a lot of the arts alive by learning them, and my grandmother was a Grand Master Ikebana Artist, working for the Japanese Embassy in Washington DC. I did not however, inherit the masterful art gene, but with hard work, and practice, have done some quilting.
Your book is everything I have been looking for to learn more about other projects in Japanese style. I am thrilled to have stumbled upon it while perusing through Amazon, as I do regularly. The reviews were stellar, and I figure all reviews being positive, could not be wrong. Your instructions are clear in illustration, and description, and I am anxious to start sewing. I just had to take the time to drop you a line to thank you for your inspiration. When one is not a natural artist, sometimes we need inspiration to get into the sewing room, and create something.
With appreciation,
Nancy Fujikado Schneider
