| Sat 18 | Try it with Texture- A Mixed Media Play Day - Vinnie Cable Make your own piece of bespoke ‘fabric' using unusual materials such as plastic, string, foil, and even sweet wrappers. The ‘fabric' will be made by layering various materials, stitching them, treating the layers with heat, paint, etc and embellishing further to achieve a beautifully textured finish. The piece can later be made into a book cover, box, bag or a million other things. |

| Sat 29 | Locker Hooking Table Mats – Linda Moor This is a great way to use up left-over fabric to make original coasters, place mats, heat mats for teapots and casseroles, cushions, bags, Christmas stockings or anything else you can imagine. The technique is quick and easy to learn. You use a locker hook, canvas, twine and fabric and the results are impressive. Mats can be washed in the machine, as the fabric is ‘locked' in place with the twine. They are tough and long lasting. You can make up your own designs or patterns or try some traditional patchwork designs. Come and have a go and see for yourself – you might get hooked!! |
